An incredible early 70s vintage dress from John Bates who also designed under the infamous name of Jean Varon. The rich bottle purples and deep turquoise to teal (the photographs do not do the lovely colour justice) overlay the body with a gorgeous lighter purple lining (the sleeves remain sheer). This oversized smock prairie dress has an incredible ruffled high neck, puffed shoulders, long sleeves with buttoned feature cuffs and pleating around the bust to enhance that wonderful oversized look. Oh and we forgot to mention it has pockets too! It is fastened at the back with a zip to the neck and hooks.
